How long does an exterior repaint take?
A standard semi-detached exterior repaint typically takes 3–5 days depending on the size of the property, surface condition, and weather. We'll give you a realistic programme estimate when we assess the job — we don't rush preparation to hit unrealistic deadlines.
What paint brands do you use?
We use high-quality trade paints including Dulux, Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, and Fleetwood depending on the project and client preference. For exteriors, we recommend Dulux Weathershield or equivalent 15-year systems. We'll always advise on the best product for your surface and budget.
Do you move furniture before painting?
Yes — we move and protect furniture as part of our standard preparation on every interior job. Floors and fixtures are covered, and we take care with fragile or heavy items. You don't need to clear the room before we arrive.
Can you paint in cold or wet weather?
Exterior painting requires dry conditions and temperatures above 5°C. We monitor forecasts carefully and will reschedule exterior work if conditions are unsuitable — painting over damp or in frost ruins the finish and we won't do it. Interior work can proceed in any weather.
Do you provide a colour consultation?
Yes — colour consultation is included at no additional charge on all projects. We can help you select colours that work well with your light levels, existing fixtures, and personal taste. We bring sample boards and can apply test patches before committing to a full colour.
Are your painters fully insured?
Yes. We carry full public liability insurance and all our painters are employed directly rather than subcontracted. We can provide proof of insurance on request before any work begins.
