What types of properties do you restore?
We work across all historic property types — Georgian and Victorian terraces, period detached homes, churches, commercial buildings, and institutional structures. Protected structures and buildings in Architectural Conservation Areas are a particular speciality.
Can you work alongside architects and conservation consultants?
Yes. We regularly work as principal contractor on projects led by conservation architects and heritage consultants. We can also provide contractor-only services where full specifications have already been drawn up, or offer a design-and-build approach for smaller projects.
Do you carry out condition surveys before quoting?
Yes. We carry out a thorough condition survey before preparing any quotation. For complex facades or protected structures, this may include mortar analysis, moisture assessment, and photographic record. This ensures the scope we price is accurate and the work we specify is correct.
Do you handle both emergency repairs and planned programmes?
Yes. We respond to storm damage, structural failures, and water ingress emergencies, as well as managing longer planned conservation programmes. For emergencies, we prioritise making the structure safe and watertight before full remediation is specified.
How do you price restoration work?
We provide detailed written quotes following an on-site survey. Restoration pricing is based on actual surface areas, materials required, and access arrangements — not rough estimates. There are no hidden extras and no scope creep without prior written agreement.
Do you clean up and reinstate the site after restoration?
Always. Scaffold removal, cleaning of hardstanding areas, and full reinstatement of any disturbed ground or garden features are included in our standard handover. We do not consider a job complete until the site is returned to its pre-works condition.
